The deck took its first step toward reality this morning when the footer was dug. We're scheduled for concrete tomorrow afternoon.
While the trackhoe operator was there, he also dug a trench for cable and phone lines from the pole to the house.
And he removed a mostly buried stump that we've driving over for months. It was all that remained of a huge ginkgo tree that Bud's dad had taken down many years ago. I never saw it in person, but in pictures, it's gigantic burst of yellow at what was then the end of the driveway.
Lance breezed through his four-month check-up this afternoon. His culinary horizons are expanding to rice cereal. What a big boy!
