It finally stopped raining long enough for Bud to set fire to the burn pile this morning. The blocklayers showed up this morning too. Coincidentally, they also were working way back in early September, the last time Bud burned (and when our day count was still in single digits).
Jamie is in town and was treated the house tour late this afternoon. Laura and Lance got to stop by for their weekly update too, and again, I didn't have the camera.
After more than seven months with no trouble, someone has begun dumping household garbage in our big trash bin. This evening, I ripped open a bag and dug around to find some mail. We're disappointed that it's someone we know.
Oh, I slept through an earthquake this morning, by the way. Bud, who was already awake, said it shook the house gently (well, as gently as an entire house can be shaken, I guess) for about 10 seconds.
