The truck and the Jeep both made their first appearances in the garage today! Thanks to the six dump-truck loads of gravel that form the base of our new driveway, it's now possible to drive into the bays.
Actually, it was a pretty big day in the life of the garage, which also sports gutters, a textured ceiling and one row of interior lights now. And tonight, Bud and I bought a vanity, which will be installed tomorrow in the garage bathroom.
Meanwhile, the stacks of stone for the foundation's facade continue to sit in the way of our getting a new trash bin. And Jonas, the stone manufacturer, called tonight to say that his guy is running a day behind on the job he's currently doing.
Our foundation is now scheduled for Monday. I tried to use my patient voice when I explained that their stuff is in our contractors' way. We may need to try a different approach when we lay the stone for the fireplace.
