Days 60-61: Nov. 3-4, 2007

We got home from the Kentucky game late Saturday night. We had arrived at the game later than usual, which meant we got a crappy parking place. (We had a delicious early dinner at Malone's, though, and I did some Christmas card shopping at Hallmark.) So we decided to spend our time watching the post-game live, instead of sitting in traffic listening to it.

It was the first time we'd seen and heard new coach Billy Gillispie so close. That was kind of cool. And the parking lot was bare when we left, so that was pretty cool too.

Also cool was the lack of deer in the road on the way home! We had been pondering whether wildlife might have some strange attraction to the Jeep after a crow drifted down from a telephone pole and collided with the front passenger door Friday morning while we were driving. Ironically, its beak or claws did more damage than the deer we nudged earlier in the week. Bud thinks the scratches will buff out.

On Friday, I missed a call from the other cabinet place we visited a few weeks ago. The rep wants to meet next week to show us her plans. She said, "It's looking really good. I can't wait for you to see it." While I understand that's probably an early sales pitch, I'm excited because it makes me wonder if they use CAD too.
